Daylight Savings

Daylight Savings Time.

It always confuses my body. When you fall back in November, you gain an hour of sleep. YES! but the issue with that is, ALL day long I think it is later than it really is-so confusing. On the other side of it, when you spring forward in March, you LOSE an hour of sleep. So in addition to being confused, you are also sleep deprived. not cool.

While attempting to adjust to the change today, I did five loads of laundry while watching a marathon of 7th Heaven. Does anybody remember that show? Gotta love it. Anyways, clearly I was very productive today.

And I will leave you with these little fun tidbits---

One new thing I did today:
I made apple nachos. I will post the directions later. They were delicious, and have several variations for every preference.

One new thing I learned today:
Part of the state of Arizona does NOT participate in Daylight Savings...So random.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween All!!!!

Aaron and I just did a low key night at home.
We watched Charlie Brown- The Great Pumpkin on TV.
We ate cupcakes, caramel apples, and apple cider.
We anxiously awaited children ringing the door bell.
The doorbell rang one time....
Eight or so kids huddled around the door grabbing handfuls of miniature suckers.
 It is now almost 10:30pm.
I think we can turn out the light now because no one else is coming...
which leaves us with 800 pounds of suckers. wonderful. haha
Maybe we will dress up and party it up next year...
Happy Halloween everyone!

Date Day :)

Aaron and I decided to do a date day.

right before we left

We started off the day by heading to downtown Disney and getting some delicious food at:

Outside of the restaurant

The same thing I always get: Earl Club

Then we stopped by Ghirardelli and got a free sample. Pumpkiny fall like goodness. It was so yummy.

Then we went and saw a movie. Sorry for the blurry pic, but I had to post it because of Aaron's face. Too much salt on the popcorn...hahaha

that facial expression!!! haha

Then after the movie we drove over to Disney World- Magic Kingdom. The sky was so pretty on the way there!

Clouds!

We rode the ferryboat over from the ticket and transportation center to Magic Kingdom. I have always taken the monorail, so this was sort of exciting.

On the Ferry Boat!

Once inside Magic Kingdom, we headed to...guess...... DUMBO!!!!!!!!
The top of the ride-took this while we were flying.

We wandered around, people watched, and did a few more rides. Then it was time for fireworks!!!!
Here are a few different pictures I took of the castle!

Afterwards, we headed home stopping quick to get some fast food after a long day. Then we headed directly to bed. SO TIRED!

Bed time!

I enjoyed our fun date day. I highly recommend planning ahead and dedicating a whole day to fun activities back to back, especially with someone you love. :)

Disney, Dumbo, and Dole Whips

DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

For those of you who don't know, my boyfriend works at Disney World. Yes, you read that right. Disney World, weeee! Aside from being the happiest place on earth, it is also the place that he works five days a week at, bringing happiness to everyone who sees him. Every time Aaron takes me to Disney, we get stopped a million times by people who want to hug him, say hello, and tell him how wonderful he is.
It makes me so proud that he is so well loved at Disney. He does his job well, and really enjoys going to work.
Aaron is such a sweetheart. He even gets on Dumbo with me even though he thinks it is a stupid ride...

You can tell he is thrilled!
The sun was shining in our eyes in this next one, so feel free to laugh at our faces...
On Aladdin's Magic Carpet-basically the same as Dumbo

Here we are the very first time he took me to Disney World (Magic Kingdom).

watching the fireworks

We always have a lot of fun at Disney. I appreciate him for taking me and doing things he would not chose to do because he knows I want to do it. I have never been a huge ride person, but slowly I am enjoying them more and more. :)

I love Disney World. One day, I will post tips and tricks of the wonderful parks. Maybe even get my boyfriend to do a guest post. ;) He has worked at Disney for ten years, and really knows his stuff.

Here is a little preview of that post:
DOLE WHIPS. oh heavenly Dole Whip Float. Get them. My favorite is the pineapple soft serve with the pineapple juice. They are located at Disney World at Magic Kingdom in Adventureland...Walk down Main Street towards the Cinderella Castle, hang a left. (Out of everything at all four parks, this is what I always know how to get to.:) hehe).

I will leave you with this wonderful picture.

Bridesmaid Bliss

Weddings are everywhere all around me. At my age, everyone is starting to tie the knot and have babies! I have this huge biological need to get married and have oodles of babies. Unfortunately my boyfriend looks at me with horror in his eyes, gulps, and says " not yet dear".
Instead, I am focusing on my friends wedding. My friend Stacy from High School is getting married!!!! She was my partner in crime all through out high school. We spent so much time together, and had so much fun.
We did our high school pranks together...scraped through math...barely....went to banquets..house sat..did sleepovers...painted toenails and ate Taco Bell, or Carl's Jr entirely too often.

I am so happy that she has found a man, Lou, who can tolerate her craziness! Stacy...If you are reading this, I am just kidding. You are totally cool, calm, and collected. Stacy asked me to be in the wedding, and I am so thrilled! I can't wait for September 20th, 2014. I have been helping her look up wedding related stuff online-venues, colors/themes, cakes, dresses, the works! It is so fun! However, It sort of makes me want to elope. Everything is so expensive. Of course, I am not serious. I have been dreaming of a wedding since I was a little girl, but I don't want to spend an excessive amount of money on a wedding either. Looking into different aspects of wedding planning really shows how expensive everything can add up to be. Crazy! But this post is not about that. This post is about the fact that the bridesmaid is at the mercy of the bride. As far as Bridesmaids dresses go, I will wear anything she wants me to because it is her big day.

However, I will refuse to do certain poses. For instance:
Showing off Butt cheeks

Leaving me out of the umbrella covering
Front of underwear?!

Squashing a groomsmen to death
No words. Oh weddings. True love. pretty dresses. and...underwear? Who knew?

-Kelsey (Hopefully not a soon to be humiliated bridesmaid)

Pet Peeves

Here are a few things I hate. This is not a comprehensive list...just a few.

11. I hate when people try to talk to you while you are reading, especially when it is a very exciting part and you want to see what happens!!!!

10. I hate when I cook a hot meal, and then someone doesn't come to the table immediately when I call them. If I am putting dinner on the table as you are walking in, you better come straight to it!

9.I hate when people do not replace the toilet paper, and it goes OVER not under.

8. I hate blinking lights when I am trying to sleep, so cell phones must be facing down so you can't see any of the little notification lights.

7. I hate when someone eats my leftovers from the fridge ( in college someone jacked my piece of cheesecake, and I am STILL pissed)...

6. I hate when people tailgate me when I am driving over the speed limit. It makes me so irritated that I sometimes go slower just to piss them off.

5. I hate when you ask two questions in a text message or email, and the person responds but only answers one. Can they not see the other question?!?

4. I hate when people crunch ice. It makes my skin crawl.

3. I hate when people tYpE LiKe ThIs....enough said.

2. I hate when people don't cover their mouth/nose when they sneeze/cough. Germaphone here. On that same note, hand sanitizer... get some!!!

1. I hate when people wear fake glasses. It is SO AWFUL to be mostly blind and need contacts or glasses to see. It is not a fashion statement, it is SIGHT. I mean my nickname is Squints y'all. Seriously. Blind.

Do you have any pet peeves?

Country Music

7 Reasons Why Country Music Is The Best.

1. It always tells a story...It isn't just one line repeated the entire song...
2. There is a song for whatever you are feeling....happy, melancholy, nostalgic, romantic, angry, etc
3. Best songs to belt out in the car, shower, or around the house doing chores.
4. It is so catchy! End of story. I know all the lyrics of SO MANY songs. :)
5. Most country singers are truly great singers, unlike some other genres...( I am talking to you Rihanna)
6. Country music fans are clearly the most dedicated, fun, and wonderful. They bond so well with one another in spite of different backgrounds.
andddd
7. Sexy singers....enough said. Can I get a woop woop for Luke Bryan, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, or Brett Elderidge? ;) and for the men out there, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, or Hilary Scott from Lady A.

Country Music is most definitely the best there is, hands down...Now I just have to convince my boyfriend... ;)

Happy Sunday!
-Kels
